What makes the CRACKED SKIN BALM special?
The CL MED CARE CRACKED SKIN BALM offers a combination of highly concentrated urea (25%) and allantoin, precisely tailored to the needs of very dry, callused and cracked skin. Heels, elbows and knees in particular tend towards dryness and callusing due to a lower density of sebaceous glands as well as pressure and friction.
Keratolytic effect with 25% urea Urea is a natural component of the skin’s own Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). In low concentrations urea primarily binds moisture – from around 20% it additionally develops a keratolytic effect: the bonds between dead skin cells are loosened, callused skin is gently released and the skin surface is smoothed. Allantoin complements the formula with its skin-soothing and regeneration-promoting properties. Camphor contributes to a refreshing skin feeling.
Also suitable for diabetic skin The formulation is also suitable for the care of diabetic skin, which often tends towards pronounced dryness, increased callusing and an impaired skin barrier. The combination of keratolytic action and intensive moisture keeps the skin supple and supports its natural protective function.
